Something to do
For the past week, I needed to be busy. I'm getting bored of my current crafts... the paper cranes don't interest me anymore, think I've folded about 700 already, which is 70%, no worries, I am determined to finish the 1001 cranes and there are still, hmmm... (counting) more than 8 to finish the 300 cranes. Oh, somehow I wish H2B will fold at least a hundred :( I've tried my save-the-date project but my prototype didn't encourage me to proceed. I have tried doing the layout for the invites but after about 3 unsatisfying layouts.. I'm done. I'll put off doing that.
I'm now thinking about the dresses... my gown, bridesmaid dresses and mothers' gowns. When I browse the net, I see lots of nice colors and styles but I haven't fixed my eyes on anything for my bridesmaids. I do what I want for my gown but somehow I am not sure the cut will be flaterring for my body type. I actually think I'm getting something basic off-the-rack and have slight alterations so that it will match what I have in mind. H2B and I have agreed that he'll be wearing a suit for the big day but for the groomsmen, ninongs and fathers, we're stil in-between suit and barong.
So many things to do and think about and I'm not accomplishing anything. H2B is keeps remimding me to update my resume which I have put-off doing for the past 4 years.
I think I'm kinda crazy because when I read posts from the egroup weddings@work, I envy other members's accomplishments... while I feel like I'm stuck with my DIY items until I can hand pick the suppliers when I go home in June.
A few of the things i plan to do:
Save-the-date
Invitations
Boutoneries
Flowergirl wands
Paper Cranes for decorations during the ceremony(I'd use some for escort cards too)

You're Beautiful - the three-day kilig moments
I've finished yet another Korean Drama, within 3days. I find the characters really cute, specially the character of Jang Geun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung. It only has 16episodes.. so just about 5 episodes a day, plus I needed something else to do while my hands are busy with the paper cranes.
There really was nothing special about the story, the only reason I enjoyed this drama is because of the kilig factor. I didn't know I would actually miss the kilig feeling... the anticipation... the wait... the trying to impress... the pagpapapansin... the holding back because you don't want to show all your feelings... the HIGH-feeling because you know he's into you.
Here's Hwang Tae Kyung.. photos are from official site

I *heart* Spring!
Hanami Update
For the past 30 days I've been to 3 parks to see budding->blooming sakura! That's the most I've made if I don't include the parks hubby2b went to during his visit.
Seisekisakuragaoka Koen (Mid March) - a sunny day, we cannot pass the chance for a nice stroll in the park!
Shinjuku Gyoen (End of March) - sakura not yet in full bloom, but maybe that's why the park is not too crowded. It was so cold that day, around 5Degrees Celciuls is not a nice temperature for a picnic
Inokashira Koen (Start of April) - I loved the pond... I wanted to hop on a boat and cruise the river... wish hubby2b could join me... but behold the long line for the boat, got to content myself with the view :(
Paper Cranes Update
I've marked 350/1001 last night! hooray.. I hope to finish 400th tonight.
Wedding DIY Update
I saw flower wands from marthastewartweddings and I think the flower girls would love it. I think it's better that giving them a basket of flowers to carry, because the wands could double as a souvenir. I am also considering flower wands for my maids.. but then maybe I have to organize my thoughts.. kimono inspired bridesmaids dress and flower wands.. I have to make them fit.
I have made a wallpaper design bearing our monogram and the wedding theme of sakura and paper cranes, I could tell hubby2b liked it, though as always, he's full of comments... fonts and a few small details.. he thought a little work on would make it our Save-The-Date. That's one DIY almost done!
